Will McLean is a designer and artist working in the Central Coast of NSW where he lives with his wife and 2 children.

Will is a meticulous developer and favours simplicity and clarity within his code. He can’t stand writing things twice so searches for any way to automate. His experiments can be found in the Exercises section of this site.

Will designs within systems. No project is too small for a design system. He favours the unusual, if not, how can he progress? You can read about his work in the Case Studies section of this site.

Coloured Shapes, Mark 1

Life and responsibilities start to muscle their way up the priority list and real graffiti starts to drop further and further down the list. At this stage it is very far down the list indeed and has been for some time. However it is fun to still think about it and to throw tough shapes at the computer screen for want of anything else to do. It doesn’t make sense to write a name anymore. Not writing a name allows you to be a far more flexible with your shapes.

Sometimes it if fun to put black in your shapes and then fill it with stars.

Other times it is fun to put yellow lines in your shapes. But not too many. Just enough. It is also good to add a little dash of slime to the left hand side of the shape. Sneaky slime.

This one looks a little bit like a dinosaur… with wings. Tough graffiti styles.
